SUPA conducted a public mission statement meeting in Spring 2003.
The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be to promote and teach Ultimate frisbee to adults and youth in the Sacramento region, in order to spread the Spirit of the Game, build social capital, and promote good health and fitness within our community.
One of the main goals we set at this meeting was to gain control over our field access by establishing ourselves as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. Registration fees go toward paying for field and light rentals, insurance, swag, and tourney supplies and food. SUPA Directors are non-paid volunteers. Any income gains resulting from leagues and events will be put toward helping SUPA fulfill its mission.
