Board of Directors

These are the people that help m­ak­e SUPA run. They oversee the organizational  health and future direction of SUPA. They are always open to hearing your feedback. Feel free to contact any of the Board members with your ideas, concerns, compliments or on-field heckles.

TONY TORRES--President­

Areas of responsibility: President, Website Content, Tournaments Guru

Favorite Throw: High Release Backhand

Ultimate Experience: Playing since 1998, SUPA board since 2007

Bio:

Tony began playing Ultimate at Whitman College in 1998. Since then, he has played on teams and in tournaments all over. When he moved to the Central Valley in 2004, Tony began organizing teams and tournaments and has continued to do so since moving to Sacramento in 2007. Tony is primarily responsible for Spring League, assisting with tournaments and is the the resident "frisbee nerd" on the board.

ANDREA SEEBA--Secretary


Areas of responsibility: Secretary, Tournament Director, League & Party Apprentice, Youth Ultimate

Favorite Throw: The Panicked Hammer

Ultimate Experience: Playing since 2006, SUPA board since 2009


Bio:

Seeba was introduced to Ultimate Frisbee during high school but generally disregarded the sport until she began attending San Joaquin Delta College and became friends with some Ultimate Frisbee players. After finding the Stockton/University of Pacific pick up group she was hooked to the sport. Since 2006 Seeba has participated in many tournaments and leagues in the Sacramento region and beyond (except when she had a broken leg!)

CRAIG HART--Treasurer

Areas of responsibility: Treasurer, Fall League, Community Outreach

Favorite throw: Push pass

Ultimate Experience: Playing since 2005, SUPA board since 2010

Bio:

Craig has been playing ultimate for 6 years.  He started playing on a club team in high school in Davis, CA.  Since then Craig has played league, pickup, and club. Teams Craig has played for include: Hot 'n da Sac, Misery Loves Company, MD 20/20, and Club Sac.  Tourneys Craig  has played in: Sectionals (mixed & open), Potlatch, Discos Calientes (mixed & open), Quincy's Mud, Lei Out, Hats Hops & Hucks, Foghat, and SUPA league tourneys. Craig is a certified Observer at and co-captained the open team (Club Sac) which played in Discos Calientes and Sectionals in 2009.

JEREMY PAGAN

Areas of Responsibility: Spring League, Website Content

Favorite throw: Forehand (too bad I'm a lefty)

Ultimate Experience: Playing since 2006, SUPA Board since 2008


Bio:

Jeremy discovered Ultimate when, on the recommendation of a friend, he showed up for a practice and then ended up playing in SUPA in fall of 2006. He has been playing every Spring and Fall since. While playing in the occasional hat tournament in Sacramento or Stockton, Jeremy is a local/clique player at heart.

MARISA LACAMPAGNE

Areas of responsibility: Summer League Director, SUPA Meetup/Facebook Content, Volunteer/Outreach Committee

Favorite throw: Flick

Ultimate Experience: Playing since 2007. SUPA Board since 2008

Bio:

Marisa started playing pickup in high school with the local youth group. In college, a casual group of Sac State students would play Friday afternoons. Marisa joined the a clique team (The Horning) in Spring 2007 when she saw them practicing at McKinley Park and asked if she could join.  Marisa has coordinated Summer League for the last two years. It's her favorite league because it draws many new players and has a great community. Marisa loves traveling the globe, talking about recreation, and watching Glee.

JULIA HOOTEN

Areas of responsibility: Tournament organizer, ultimate high-fiver, and name-taker.

Favorite throw: HAMMER!!...Just kidding, it’s the high-release backhand.

Ultimate experience:  Playing since 2009, SUPA board member since 2011.

Bio:

Julia AKA "Hoot" began playing Ultimate summer of 2009, during the SUPA spirit league ‘Ultimate High of 2009’. Since that magical summer, she has been traveling near and far for Ultimate tournaments large-and-small. Hands down, her favorite tournament is Lei Out, with Potlatch trailing behind as a close second. When in Sacramento, Julia was primarily responsible for playing hard and wielding flabongos. Since being inducted to the SUPA board, she is now looking forward to greater responsibilities such as organizing tournaments, always having an answer, and delivering all of that (yes, flabongos if you ask nicely) with a smile.

MATTHEW HOLKEBOER

Areas of responsibility: League and tournament organizer, and beginner's clinics.

Favorite Throw: No look scoober for the goal. Works 75% of the time all the time!

Experience: Playing since 2003, joined Board in 2011

Bio:

Known far and wide as "Nuken," Matthew started playing ultimate frisbee like any stereotypical hippie, barefoot on a grass field with shoes as cones. Since then he has graduated to cleats and cones!!! Matthew played four years of college ultimate at UC Santa Cruz. GO BANANA SLUGS!! Since 2008, he have been playing leagues and tournaments through SUPA. Matthew is also a co-captain of the mixed club team in Sacramento, Capitol Punishment.
